The system, which includes two HXRNX5R cameras and an MCX500 switcher, is completely designed, engineered and configured by Sony to provide a ready-to-go HD studio/control room video and audio package with HD recording capability.
Ideal for lectures, meetings, training, and other indoor events in schools, businesses, law enforcement and healthcare facilities, these systems can be transported from room to room and be set up quickly. Easy-to-use operations make it ideal for non-technical users and there is very little interconnect cabling. Recordings are saved on a removable hard drive for editing on many popular edit programs. Cameras have memory card capability and can be used in standalone operations.

Video
The PSPK2MCNX5R includes two HXRNX5R camcorders, which offers enhanced features like Wi-Fi file transfer, OLED viewfinder and MI Shoe. Three 1/2.8″ CMOS Exmor sensors and a 20x optical zoom Sony G lens with 40x Clear Image Zoom provide sharp and clear images. And if you need more illumination there is a built-in LED light above the lens. Professional audio is not forgotten with two XLR inputs that support Line, mic, and mic +48 (phantom power). The Slow & Quick Motion function enables 1080p recording at selectable frame rates. The camera features two media card slots that support recording on Memory Stick PRO Duo or SDHC/SDXC media cards.
Tripods
Heavy duty, fluid head tripods and tripod dollys move the cameras smoothly for the best shot.
Monitor
A Sony LED backlit LCD monitor with HDMI inputs to monitor video and playack.
Workstation
Mobile 36″ wide system workstation with adjustable table height, clamp-on monitor mount, 6 Receptacle power Bar with 15’ Cord and 5″ heavy duty solid rubber Casters with positive lock action, all in a compact footprint.
Audio
The package contains two Sony beltpack lavaliere microphones and one Sony handheld microphone with stand as well as monitor speakers and headphones for private monitoring.
Wireless Intercom
4-person wireless intercom system for communication between you and your crew.
Tablet
Included in the package is Sony’s Xperia tablet and stand set up for teleprompter use, for playback of clips stored on the camera or to provide access to the internet.
Accessories
All of the audio, video and power cables and connectors, including cases for cameras, tripods, intercom, audio components and storage bins, that you’ll need to take full advantage of this portable production package are included.
Switcher
Sony’s MCX500 combines a manual control surface with a touchscreen LCD that you can control locally or from a networked device. As you would expect from a professional mixer, cut, mix, wipe, and key effects are built into the unit. In addition to the program and multiview preview outputs, the switcher can also live stream to services such as Ustream via Ethernet, without requiring additional hardware. Likewise, the MCX-500 can record the program stream to an SD card, which is not included, via the builtin SD card slot. Beyond just the video switching capabilities, it is also a 5-channel audio mixer. You can control the switcher remotely via Mac, PC, or a tablet.
